Using the On-line Help

These help pages are designed to help you gain a thorough understanding of the functions available in all the V4.1™ tools. In the Tutorial, you can find a step-by-step guide to building a simple Web site for a simulated on-line store. This tutorial will introduce you to the basic functions of the WebWizard and ClipOn Commerce™ tools. Detailed help on all the options for each tool follows. We have also included a section on Using the Internet 101 to answer some basic Internet questions. Acceptable Use Policy

The following section of this Document comprises Pacific WebWorks, Inc. "Acceptable Use Policy" (AUP) as it exists the day that this agreement between Pacific WebWorks, Inc. and the Customer is entered into. Pacific WebWorks, Inc. reserves the right to add, remove, or modify specific prohibitions from this section of this Document. The Customer recognizes and agrees that the on-line AUP prohibitions, to be maintained by Pacific WebWorks, Inc. and always available to all Customers and to the public at http://help.visualwebtools.com/introduction.htm#aup, supercede the prohibitions listed in this document. In accordance with our Internet Service Agreement, we reserve full rights to remove any materials that may be illegal, may subject us to liability, and/or violate this AUP.

Your violation of this AUP may result in the suspension or termination of your account and fines of a minimum of $1,000 (USD) and cost of damages incurred, including, but not limited to loss of service to Pacific WebWorks, Inc. or its clients, undue damage or load to Pacific WebWorks, Inc. servers, labor and/or loss of reputation.

Customer shall not do any of the following, or permit any third party under its control (including its customers and their authorized users [ad infinium]) to do the following, and must include provisions in its service agreements for its customers and authorized users that restrict them from doing any of the following:

1. Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Service and/or the Internet; or

2. upload, post, publish, transmit, reproduce, distribute, or participate in the transfer or sale, or in any way exploit any information, software or other material obtained through the Internet which is PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT or other proprietary rights or derivative works with respect thereto, without obtaining permission of the copyright owner or rightholder; or

3. use the SMTP services of a third party for the purposes of relaying or sending electronic mail messages without the express permission of that third party; or

4. host a publicly-accessible "open relay" SMTP or anonymous remailer service for any purpose, cause, or reason; or

5. post a commercial advertisement to any USENET newsgroup, Internet "chat room", bulletin board, or similar forum, if the target forum is not specifically chartered for public advertisement by non-private parties of items "for sale" or

6. post to any USENET Newsgroup or other newsgroups, forum, email mailing list or similar group or list articles which are off-topic according to the charter or other public statement of the group; or

7. send Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE, also known as SPAM) to any number of e-mail users or lists; or

8. maintain, or send e-mail to, "opt-in targeted marketing lists" if the Customer cannot demonstrate, to Pacific WebWorks, Inc.'s satisfaction, that the members of the list(s) have knowingly requested to be added to the list(s) in question through direct action of their own doing, and that easily-accessible, automated opt-out/removal mechanisms are in place and available to the members of the list(s); or

9. engage in any activity that is, or appears to be, an attempt to gain unauthorized access to a remote system or network, or to gain information that could later be used to assist in gaining unauthorized access to a remote system or network, such as port scanning, dictionary attacks, Denial of Service attacks, server/service hijacking, etc.; or

10. engage in any of the foregoing activities using the service of another provider, but channeling such activities through a Pacific WebWorks, Inc. account or remailer, or using a Pacific WebWorks, Inc. account as a mail drop for responses to UCE, or hosting a website that is advertised via UCE that may or may not originate from a non- PacificWebWorks.com-connected source, or otherwise requiring return transit through Pacific WebWorks, Inc. internet backbone; or

11. falsify or "spoof" user information provided to Pacific WebWorks, Inc. or to other users of the Service, and for handling all complaints and trouble reports made by its own customers and authorized users; or

12. use the Service in violation or contravention of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended by the Telecommunications Act of 1996, or any other applicable law, regulation, order or other governmental directive, or abuse or fraudulently use the Service in any way not specifically set forth above; or

13. violate any provisions of Pacific WebWorks, Inc. Network Service Provider's AUP; or

14. using our tools for the distribution of content which is pornographic or adult in nature is prohibited as determined by Pacific WebWorks, Inc.; or

15. using our tools to transmit any material (via e-mail, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that, intentionally or unintentionally, violates any applicable local, state, national or international rules and/or laws; or

16. using our tools to transmit any material (via e-mail, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that threatens or encourages bodily harm, destruction of property, and/or harassment of another individual or group of individuals.

The V4.1 Environment

Any time you log in to V4.1, you will see a small square screen with two boxes, asking for your username and password.

These items were assigned to you when you received your V4.1 account. If you have not received these items or do not remember them, you can contact PWEB customer service at 1-801-578-9020.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will arrive at the Tools Manager screen.

From this screen, you can access all the V4.1 tools, as well as use the Help and Live Chat features. You can also find V4.1 tips and links to the Dreamweaver extensions.

The V4.1 tools are also accessible from the top of your computer screen.

Tool Bar

My Account

From the main screen you can access My Account, which sets up all the preliminary items you will need to maintain your Web site and e-Commerce account. There are several options available in this function.

The My Account menu

Open/Close Store
This option allows you to open and close your live Web site. If your site is open, it can be viewed by anyone accessing your domain name on the Internet. If your site is closed, an "Under Construction" page will be viewed when your domain name is accessed. When you select to open your site, all the changes you have made since you last opened your site will be updated immediately. The local copies of your files that are on your personal hard drive will not be affected by opening and closing your site. Uploading a new project automatically re-opens your site.

Edit My Info
This option allows you to edit your personal information. Note that the e-mail address you enter in this function will be your default e-mail address throughout your site.

Change Password
This function allows you to choose a new password for accessing your V4.1™ account.

Edit Domain/E-mail Info
This function provides several options for domain name registration. By clicking on one of the options while logged into your Visual WebTools account you will be able to add/modify your domain information, email

Submit your site to search engines - Click this button to submit your site to the search engines. Click here for more information on site submission.


View License
This option displays the file space available in your WebWizard site and the number of products you have available with ClipOn Commerce. To make changes to your license,click here.

Logout
This option will log you out of the Visual WebTools environment and return you to the main log-in screen.

FTP Capability

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is the way several files at a time are transferred across the Internet. V4.1™ fully supports FTP, which means that you can upload any type of file to your WebWizard™ projects, including sound and multimedia files. WebWizard also supports most third party FTP programs.
