Introduction
The WebStats tool can quickly generate reports of detailed information about your site visitors, and the paths they take throughout your site. This information can be valuable as you plan your site maintenance and future marketing efforts.
Follow the steps outlined under My Account for registering your domain name with the PWEB servers.
Once you have a domain name established with the PWEB servers, click WebStats from the Tools Manager, the drop-down menu, or the footer links. The WebStats home page will appear.

Click Generate Reports. A screen will open asking you to choose the domain for which you would like to generate a report.
Click the appropriate domain name. A page will open informing you that a report is being generated. This will take between one and two minutes.
Return to the WebStats main page. Select View Previous Reports. If you have more than one domain name associated with your account, a screen will open listing those domains. Select the domain you would like review the report for.
The report screen will appear. The report contains charts and graphs
detailing traffic and usage patterns of your site.
Note: If you click on View Previous Reports &
your report has not been completed yet, you will see a message telling you
the report is
still being generated.

To view specific monthly stats, click on the Month that you are interested in from the Month column. You will then see all of that months details.
Understanding Your Reports
Underneath the graph of your site usage is a monthly summary of various aspects of your site. The different terms are explained below.
Hits
Any logged request made to the Pacific WebWorks servers for your Web
site is considered a hit. The requests can be for anything - Web
pages, graphic images, or multimedia files. This number represents
the total number of requests made to the server during the specified
report period.
Files
This is any hit that requires the server to send a response. Some
requests made to the server require that the server then send
something back to the client, such as an HTML page or a graphic
image. The relationship between "hits" and "files"
can be thought of as "incoming requests" and "outgoing
responses".
Pages
This represents the number of HTML pages requested during the
specified report period. Generally, any HTML document, is considered
a page. This does not include the other stuff that goes into a
document, such as graphic images and audio clips. Some other programs
refer to this as "page views". This number generally gives
the most accurate look at how many people are viewing your site in
the specified report period.
Sites
This shows the number of unique URLs that make requests for your site
during the specified report period. This does not,
however, show the number of unique individual users who visited your
site, but can be used as a close estimation.
Visits
This determines the number of visits to your site within the
specified report period. Whenever a request is made to the server
from a given Web site address, the amount of time since a previous
request by that address is calculated. If this time difference is
greater than the "visit timeout" of 30 minutes, it is
considered a new visit, and is added to the number of visits from
first-time Web site addresses.
KBytes
The KBytes value shows the amount of data, in kilobytes, that was
sent out by the server during the specified reporting period. This
value is generated directly from the log file, so this should be a
fairly accurate representation of the amount of outgoing server traffic.
Top Entry and Exit Pages
The Top Entry and Exit tables give a rough estimate of what URL's are
used to enter your site and what pages are viewed last. Because of
limitations in the statistical software, this number should be
considered a good guess of the actual numbers.
Monthly Detail
The following definitions apply to sections within the monthly detail of your report.

General overview of details for that particular month.
Daily Statistics
Statistics for each day of the specific month. Includes graphical charts.
Hourly Statistics
Statistics for hour of the day of the specific month. Includes
